About Me - Sung Choi

Sung Choi is a Korean photographer living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Along with his passion for photography, he also enjoys adventure, travel and sports.

As a former sports journalist for a daily newspaper in South Korea, he had opportunities to travel all over the world to cover sports events, like World Cup soccer. This travel took him to more than thirty countries throughout Asia, Australia, Central American and Europe.

Following his career as sports journalist, he came to Portland to study more about sports and communication. He received his Masters Degree in Communications from Portland State University in 2005. After graduate studies, he returned to South Korea and joined Yahoo! Korea as Head of Media & Sports until 2013.

He moved back to Portland in 2013, and began a new challenge as a photographer, specializing in nature and landscape scenes. He combines his enthusiasm for photography, along with his fondness for the amazing scenery found in his travels all over the American West and the Pacific Northwest, which is now his home.
